Seperti banyak negara lain, AS membatasi penerbangan dari Afrika Selatan untuk menghalau masuknya varian Omicron, yang telah terdeteksi di Australia hingga Inggris. Hingga Senin waktu setempat, belum ada kasus Omicron di AS, yang sedang bersiaga menghadapi meluasnya varian Delta jelang musim dingin.
